This charity is close to our hearts here at PepFit! Our very good friend, and business associate, Catherine (of Simply Pilates with Catherine) has a son who was born with half a heart. Known in short as Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome, (HRHS), Will and his family were supported through to his adulthood by this charity, with several operations taking place for him between the aged of only 8 days old and 4 years! The family still speak so highly of Little Hearts Matter that I just knew it was the charity I wanted to support this year! Will has agreed to be the poster boy for my fundraising campaign this year too, so he will be getting lots of lovely thank you treats from us for this!
Little Hearts Matter is the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting and empowering anyone affected by the diagnosis of a single ventricle heart condition – or half a working heart. We support families along every step of their journey, from initial diagnosis, through treatments and into life at home.
Layla & PepFit will be fundraising, through various events and activities! The final push will be running the Principality Cardiff Half Marathon 2024 in October, so watch out for everything that will be going on through the year!
Layla is looking for support in fundraising, she will be holding various raffles, attending car boot sales/table top sales, hosting events including an auction night!
If you can spare some of your time, anything in good condition that could be sold to raise money, raffle prizes, auction lots (goods and services welcome) then please do get in touch and lets raise some serious money!
